Why a wet room
A wet room looks effortless. Getting it right is all in the part you never see - the waterproofing, the fall of the floor and the drain.
The floor is built up with a gentle fall so water runs to a linear or centre drain, and the whole area is tanked with a waterproof membrane before a single tile goes down. Done well, it lasts. Done badly, it leaks into the room below.
That is why good planning matters. Our designers will help you choose the right products for your room and talk you through what is involved. Installation is available on request.

Questions
Often, yes. Upstairs wet rooms on timber floors need the right floor preparation, so it is worth having your installer check the floor and drainage route early. We are happy to talk it through in the showroom.
No. The floor falls to the drain and the whole wet area is waterproofed. A fixed glass panel keeps splashes away from towels, the toilet and the basin.
It depends on the room and on what you want. A wet room gives true level access and an open floor; a walk-in shower on a low tray is usually simpler to install. Our wet room or walk-in shower guide covers the differences.
Yes. Choose from the tile library in our Pennyburn showroom and take samples home. We will advise on slip resistance for the floor.
